BATSO-Exchange 1st Joint Meeting Held

The Chamber and Commodity Exchange of Batman held their first joint meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Batman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The meeting was attended by Batman Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Abdulkadir DEMİR, Vice Chairman Abid TAYMUR, Board Members M. Salih TARHAN, Kabil BOZYİĞİT, Yalçın GÜNEŞTEKİN, and Secretary General Doğan DEMİR. From the Batman Commodity Exchange, Vice Chairmen Azmi AL and Sabri ÇELİK, Assembly Member Hifzullah AKDAŞ, and Secretary General İsa AKDAŞ participated.

The topics discussed at the meeting were as follows:

Good Practices and Institutional Structures of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges

·         Good practice sharing between Chambers and Commodity Exchanges was conducted, and mutual benchmarking was carried out.

·         The institutional structure of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges was addressed as a special agenda item. Emphasis was placed on the need for Chambers and Commodity Exchanges to build strong institutional structures for member and public satisfaction.

TOBB Accreditation System

·         The new TOBB Accreditation System was discussed. Chambers and Commodity Exchanges shared the knowledge and experiences they gained from the training programs organized by TOBB within this scope.

·         Strategic planning and implementation, financial literacy programs, human resources management, media-digital governance, information technologies, corporate CRM, new generation services, reorganization of professional committees, personnel qualifications, personnel-based performance measurement, professional management, risk management, evaluation of management effectiveness, project preparation, and the dissemination of lobbying activities were discussed.

Batman Air Transportation Issues

·         Air transportation issues in Batman were also addressed. Lobbying activities will be carried out through media sources on this matter. Thus, efforts will be made to find a solution to the problem of the number of flight services in Batman's air transportation.

Determination of the Date of the Next Meeting

·         It was decided that the next meeting will be hosted by the Batman Commodity Exchange in December.
